Back To School

Today is Manny's first day at Texas State to start his masters degree in English. I am so excited for him and I could not be more proud of my hubby. This has been a long time coming and he more than deserves this! He put a good 5 years into the Navy to reap this benefit and I know he's excited to start. Good luck honey! I know you will do an amazing job! I am so proud of you!!!

Etsy Shop Now Up & Running

I have officially opened up my Etsy shop. It's called Shabby & Sweet. I am so excited about it. I will be selling cake toppers, ornaments, and whatever else I come up with! Get shopping! The holiday season is coming up and my ornaments will be a great gift for that ornament exchange!!!

a little piece of kentucky!

My mom and BethAnn got back from the Longest Yard Sale! They had an awesome time and said it's definitely worth the trip! I'm looking forward to going! Maybe next year. Here are some pics of what I got!

I got this chair. I needed one more chair for the dining room table. It completes my mix-and-match chairs that I already have! I need to paint it. I'm thinking it will be a cream color. I'll post pics when it's done. I also got a vintage frame for my chalkboard menu. I've already ordered the chalkboard and will post pics once it's all complete!

This is the buffet that my mom got me. I managed to get the only piece of furniture that didn't need a complete overhaul! In fact, it only needed to be wiped down!

Here it is in the dining room. I'm still playing around with decorating it. But I'm loving it so far!

Another pic!

Taco Saturday!

Manny and I are loving being in Austin. We have enjoyed the quirky airstream trailer bites around the city. We stumbled upon these yummy migas breakfast taco! So good!!!! We've been twice and can't wait to go again.

Migas!

The airstream trailer!

Manny excited about Taco Saturday!

Mija gets to go too! It is a fun family outing! She likes the tacos too! Of course I give her a bite!

Looking a bit rough! We don't dress up for this occasion!

Mija

I haven't put up pics of Mija lately. Here are some of the most recent pics I have of her.

She's very ladylike!

Ok, this one is from Seattle, but I can't help but laugh at this one. This dog is a licking machine so I think this in appopriate pic to capture her personality.

This is Mija at Judy's. She loved being able to run around the yard leash free.

And this is Mija at my Mom's. I thought she loved the chair, but it turns out she loved that pink blanket. If you didn't know where she was, she was more than likely curled up in that blanket in that chair.

She's my little shadow and follows me everywhere. How can you not love that sweet furry face!
