Seattle Memories

I can't believe the time has come! We leave Seattle in the morning. I have been looking forward to this for a while. I miss Texas, family, friends, people saying y'all, and everything else about Texas. A part of me is a little sad about leaving. This is after all where we started as a married couple. We've had some amazing times here and I feel so blessed to have gotten to experience a place like Seattle. There is no other place like it in the world. I thought I would put together some pics of my favorite things and times in Seattle. I hope you enjoy! If you ever get a chance to go to Seattle, take it!!!!

My absolute favorite thing about Seattle is the Pike Place Market. It is amazing!

Go see the famous fish throwers.
There are rows and rows of fresh flowers that are very inexpensive and vegetables.

The clever little signs in the market made me laugh.

The Pink Door is one of the best places to go in the market. The pesto lasagna is to die for. If you are lucky enough to be there on a sunny day, you need to eat on the patio while you overlook the Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains.

I love this picture. We found out that my mom had never eaten a cherry in her life! How did that happen! What better place than the market for her to try her first official cherry!!!

Pioneer Square is such a unique place. There are tons of vintage shops, not to mention a kilt shop! While the family was here, Kevin was having a good time shoving the Sounders colors in the opposing teams face! He held up that scarf most of the day!

This is the center of Pioneer Square.

A block away from Pioneer Square are the piers. Our favorite place to eat was Ivar's. I recommend going on a Sunday for brunch.

Of course you have to go to the Space Needle. It's not really worth paying $15 to go up to the observation deck, but that's just my opinion.

We went whale watching in Anacortes while the family was here last summer. This was one of my favorite things! If you can do this while you are in the Seattle area, you should! It was awesome! Bundle up because even when went in July it was freezing. Some of the pictures of the whales are a little blurry. They are hard to catch when they come up to the surface.

The duck ride will always hold a special place in my heart! I have a love hate relationship with it. I have been on it 3 different times. My first time to go was in March 2009 when my cousin, Allison, and myself came to Seattle for a visit. I went again with our family in July 2009 and then once again in January 2010 when my friends Ali and Natalie came to visit. I could give the duck tour if I wanted to!

My mom, KK, and I went to Vancouver for a night last summer. One of my favorite places about Vancouver was the market. It was like a french market.

We went to Snoqualmie Falls. It was a awesome hike to go on. It was beautiful. I decided before we left that I didn't need to fix my hair. I'll rethink that next time!

We went to Deception Pass. It was really cool. We walked along the bridge. I thought Manny was going to have heart attack. He wasn't too fond of how high that bridge was. We went below the bridge and watched the sunset.

We went to a Mariners game where we got to sit in front of this awesome guy behind Manny!

Right down the street there was a great public park. We took Mija to the park all the time. We loved it and will miss having such an awesome park. Mija loved going there.

We went to Kubota Gardens. It was a great thing to do one afternoon after church. It was gorgeous.
