I can't believe the time has come! We leave Seattle in the morning. I have been looking forward to this for a while. I miss Texas, family, friends, people saying y'all, and everything else about Texas. A part of me is a little sad about leaving. This is after all where we started as a married couple. We've had some amazing times here and I feel so blessed to have gotten to experience a place like Seattle. There is no other place like it in the world. I thought I would put together some pics of my favorite things and times in Seattle. I hope you enjoy! If you ever get a chance to go to Seattle, take it!!!!
Seattle Memories
Packing It Up!
The packing has started. This is our pile of stuff so far. All those tubs along the wall are clothes. We were smart about this. We bought those space bags and put all our clothes in them, sucked the air out of them, and put them in tubs. It is such a room saver! I wish I would of done this a long time ago. With as many times as I've moved, it would have been very helpful! There are some ridiculous things going on in this picture too. That big green sea bag by the guitar is all Manny's Navy uniforms. Even more ridiculous is the big black bag the guitar is sitting on. That is all purses. Well purses, with some scarves and hats thrown in, but mostly purses! We still have a long way to go and about a week to do it!!! I can't believe we leave in a little oer a week!!!!
Swish Productions
My talented friend Ali sent me the clutch I ordered from her while I was home in March. I loved the pattern! It will be good for year round! She makes tons of other things like tutus, burp cloths, kitchen cloths, dog collars, onsies, headbands, and wreaths. She does it all! Check out her Etsy shop Swish Productions!

I'm ready for Round Top!
While Manny and I were out and about today, we passed this antique shop that was full of wonderful treasures. I was looking for a special item for a project I am doing, but while I was climbing through this antique store, I found this desk! I loved it!!!! I got a steal on it! Only $40!!!!! I am going to have Manny sand it down so I can paint it. I definitely needs some love! I can't decide if I want to paint it back to a cream color or black!!! I am so excited to move back to Texas with this gem! Since I've been up here, I haven't been able to go to Round Top in a long time! I'm definitely going in the fall!!!!
Seattle Sunday
U.S.S. Abraham Lincoln
Manny and I had a pretty busy weekend. I have been wanting to go to the ship just to say that I have been on a naval ship. I was also curious to see where my husband works. I wouldn't normally be that curious, but it's not like he goes to work at an ordinary office every day! He goes to a ship! I thought that was cool and I wanted to see what it's all about. I have to say that each new thing I learn about our military, the more I respect them. I am so proud Manny for the time he served to defend our country. Not many people could make that sacrafice. I am proud to say that my husband has done that! After taking a tour of the Lincoln, I concluded that I could never work on a naval ship!!!! It is metal, metal, metal and not much color! Also, the space on the ship is very tight. A tall person would definitely have back problems after walking around a naval ship for a while. I took some pictures to share!
This is the ramp to get on and off the ship.
These are the ropes that catch the airplanes to make them stop when they are landing on the flight deck.
This is the flight deck.
Lets paint a rug on the porch!
